If it wasn’t for the people that volunteer their time and effort to OCR we wouldn’t even have OCR’s

This award is so we can acknowledge and celebrate not only the ones that made the shortlist, but the thousands that volunteer week after

Bex Tarrant

Bex is one half of the dynamic duo that ensure all spartan participants are registered on time, (See Cindy Liu too)

Cindy Liu

Usually found on Registration at almost every Spartan Event, Cindy and Bex are the ones that sorts out people’s problem when systems go astray, doing 12 hour shifts in 6-inch-deep mud and
still smiling takes a special kind of Person

Dean Johnson

Dean spends his valuable time at Wild forest Gym helping others achieve their goals, he is also personally responsible for the AG athletes at nuclear getting their recognition

Jane Maylor

Jane has been a mainstay volunteer in the OCR community for many a year, almost every weekend she paints her face with glitter and heads off to one of the many races to volunteer, She
always has a smile on her face and words of encouragement for runners no matter what the weather throws at her

Kara Williams

Kara this year has selflessly volunteered at every Spartan race event in the UK. She has marshalled obstacles both on the adults and kids’ course, manned water stations and over the last 2 races events has been volunteering on registration

Lisa Kane

Lisa can be found most weekends cheering on and supporting friends round the courses, her friend say she pushes them to the max on course, if only it might be to try the cake she always brings for runners

Lynsay McEwan

Having Been injury plagued for years, this year Lynsey suffered compartment syndrome in her calves and as a result needed surgery. This didn't stop her volunteering at Spartan races across the UK. In October she got to take part in Hyrox Birmingham but in true Lynsey style she got up early the next morning to drive to Wales to support her teammates taking part in Spartan before a 7 hour drive back home She has also stepped up and volunteered her time with UKOSF and also helps out coaching kids, at Fit Body Farm, every Saturday and at summer and Easter camps

Martine Henderson

Living in Scotland this has meant she has had to travel. Specially to races south of Scotland shire. Often incurring a fair bit of expense. But she does it to make sure the Scot’s always have a familiar face during races. Her bubbly personality, brightly coloured hair and mega smile are always a welcome sight on any course.
